“What do I do if he orders pretzels, I hate pretzels?” Jennifer asked Mary Beth. This was hours before her first date with Andrew. They had met a few days earlier on a silly dating app and had enjoyed great conversations about life, travel, hiking, music, and the sci-fi classic, Jurassic Park, and today they would meet in person for the first time. Andrew, of course, would end up ordering the pretzels.

She showed up to the bar wearing a dinosaur necklace and her hair down. He wore a checkered nerd shirt and slight hint of social awkwardness. When a clip from Jurassic Park showed on the bar TV, they both felt that, despite the pretzels and in the face of years of past experiences, this was going to turn into something special.  

Since then, their adventures have included travel through six states, an island, multiple parks, museums in big cities, and dive bars in small towns. They’ve survived flooded basements, job changes, family vacations, beer tours, six-hour road trips, roller skating, onions, peppers, art shows, and junior high plays. Through it all, they have always been happy being with each other.

As their love grew and grew, they each gained family and friends, and it is with those loved ones that they wish to share the beginning of their greatest adventure: a life together.
